How to draw a houseplant with a simple pencil. Draw a diagram of a home flower. Cactus in a pot

This article will show and tell you how to draw a cactus. Any person can draw a flower; to do this, it is enough to break the drawing into simple shapes: circle, straight line, curve, cylinder, ellipse, etc. Using this approach, depict this exotic plant it will be pretty easy.

For children

How can a child draw a cactus? Very simple! Let's look at this example.

On a sheet of paper with a black marker, draw an elongated vertical oval with the lower end cut off - this will be the main figure. Along its left edge, draw another similar, already reduced figure, extending from the lower third at a slight angle. Draw the same design near the right contour, slightly higher than the left one. Paint over the flower green.

Draw two horizontal lines inside the plant trunk and two each inside the shoots. The lines should be at equal distances from each other and from the contours of the plant. Using small strokes, about two centimeters each, mark the spines.

Draw three small flowers - one on the trunk and two on the shoots. Color them with a red marker. The flowers are depicted in the form of several drop-shaped figures, thin edges converging with each other.

Cactus in a pot

Very often people plant these plants in pots and place them on the windowsill, so let's take a pencil and draw a cactus in a pot.

So, let's draw three cacti in pots with a pencil. Each of them is an inverted pyramid with almost vertical edges. The upper part of the pot should be depicted as an elongated rectangle. Then we will depict three cacti. The first one as a set standing nearby, highly elongated oval-shaped objects. The second is in the form of a zucchini, adding shoots to it that look like ovals, curved upward. The third is in the form of a semicircle, inside of which there are vertical grooves. At its top, simple oval lines indicate the contours of the flower.

Color the entire drawing. This can be done using watercolor paints or colored pencils. When working with watercolors, you need to be careful when painting the edges, as this paint can bleed.

With a little imagination and using the method described above, you can get drawings like these.

Draw with a pencil

We continue to learn how to draw a cactus with a pencil.

In the center of the sheet, draw with a pencil something between a rectangle and an oval. On the sides of it there are drop-shaped processes, from each of which there are a couple more small processes.

Draw vertical lines throughout the flower. Use small, frequent strokes to designate the spines on the trunk and shoots.

Color the drawing. Use dark green and light green colors to give the plant volume, and at the base barely indicate the soil with light brown shades.

Drawing step by step

Let's look at how to draw a cactus step by step. This instruction will help you see the simplicity of painting when the process is divided into simple step-by-step steps.

Stage 1
Draw a trunk. Draw lines from the bottom edge of the sheet vertically upward, turn them in a semicircle at the top and continue downwards - you get something cigar-shaped. Using the same lines we depict L-shaped processes.

Stage 2
We make the image three-dimensional by drawing horizontal grooves in the body.

Stage 3
And finally, the thorns. We draw them with frequent short strokes along the contour of the flower and in the form of small dots inside the image.

Blooming cactus

How to draw blooming cactus? Just like a regular one, just don’t forget to draw on a flower.

Draw a circle in the middle of the sheet, and a semicircle under it. After that, additional lines in a semicircle - this will give it volume, and in the end you will get a pot.

Flowers are depicted at the top of the circle. They consist of circles, inside of which lines stretch towards the center, and leaves in the form of arbitrary rectangles with rounded edges. Please note that some flowers are not fully depicted, as they are covered by flowers in the foreground.

Color the pot brown, the cactus green, and the flowers purple.

Giant cactus

Also, we suggest you draw a giant cactus in the desert.

An unusual example

Well, at the end of our article, we invite you to look at a very unusual example. Instead of the usual green shades, the plant received a cosmic color.

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a flower pot from scratch.

Step 1

Let's start by creating a new 450px x 600px document. Fill the background with a gradient. Gradient colors from #F8E7BE to #E1CEA5

Step 2

Create a layer group called "Pot". Inside this group, create a new layer called "Top". Use the Ellipse Tool to make an oval shape that will be the top of our flower pot. Fill with any color (I used #5b5b5b).

Step 3

Create a new layer called "Band" and place it under "Top". Use a combination of the Ellipse Tool and the Rectangle Tool to make the top part the shape of a pot. Use different shades of gray for shading individual parts flower pot element:

Step 4

Create a new layer "Base" and place it under "Band". To create the base, use the same methods as for creating the top of the flower pot.

Step 5

Create a new layer on the “Band” layer and name the layer “Color”. On this layer create a rectangle overlapping the main part of the flower pot as shown in the picture. Fill the rectangle with a linear gradient. Colors for the gradient, select shades of brown: #F8B69E, #CB601B, #A44200, #CB601B. Add Noise (Filter –> Noise –> Add Noise) with an effect value of 0.8%. Next Alt+click between the two layers to make it a clipping layer.

Step 6

Duplicate the 'Color' layer 2 times and paste it above each shape. Apply a clipping (Alt-click between layers) to each copy of the “Color” layer. When you're done, you can adjust all copies of the “Color” layer so that it looks more realistic. To do this, use the Transform command (Ctrl + T).

Step 7

Use the Burn Tool (hotkey O) on the "Color" layer to add depth. Apply the darkener along the top and bottom edges of the base of the flower pot as shown in the picture.

Step 8

On a new layer "Inner Circle" create an ellipse and fill it with gray. As with the other shapes, we'll create a new layer with a clipping mask (name this layer "Inner Color"). Also create a rectangle and fill it with a linear gradient. Gradient colors: #2E0F02, #481E01, #2E0F02.

Step 9

To make the pot look smoother, select the "Inner Circle" layer and use the Blur Tool to go along the top edge of the pot. Next, create a new layer called "Edge" and use a soft brush of color #E2B398 to paint a lighter edge of the pot around the outer edge (highlighted in green in the screenshot). This layer's Blending Mode is Screen, Opacity ~78%.

Step 10

In order to add soil to the flower pot, we will need to add another layer with a clipping mask. To do this, make the “Inner Color” layer active and press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + N to open the “New Layer” dialog box, in which check the box next to “Use previous layer to create a clipping mask.” Name this new layer "Dirt".

Step 11

To create the ground, first create a dark shape Brown. Add some noise to this layer with a radius of 30%, uniform distribution, active item Monochrome. Then add a Filter>Noise>Median filter with a 1px radius. Now add some more noise at 25%. Finally, duplicate this layer, still keeping it clipped, and set its blending mode to Multiply. Use the Dodge and Burn Tools to add highlights and shadows.

Step 12

Go back to the clipping layer and name it "Inner Color" and use the Burn Tool to add some shadows to the inside of the pot.

Step 13

Next, we are going to create the flower stem. First, create a layer group called "Flower" and within that group, create another group called "Stem". On a new layer, draw a stem using Brush Tool(Brush tool, hotkey B). Stem color #597147. Add Emboss to this layer. Use the Burn Tool to add some shadows to the top and bottom of the stem.

Step 14

Make sure the foreground color is white and the background color is black. On a new layer, create a white rectangle and apply the commands Filter> Render> Fibers (Filter -> Rendering -> Fibers) with the following settings:

Step 15

Deform the fibers to the shape of the trunk and create a clipping mask for the Fibers layer. .Set the blending mode to Overlay and the opacity to 28%.

Step 16

To create a flower, we first need to start by creating a new group called "Petals" inside the Flower group. Inside the Petals group, create a new layer called "Single Petal" and draw the basic shape of the flower petals in light purple (#B8ACF4).

Step 17

On a new clipping layer to the "Single Petal" layer, use a dark purple splatter brush, blending mode - Dissolve. Then apply the Motion Blur filter to this layer with the settings: Angle 90 degrees and Offset 51 px. Then add noise (Filter –> Noise –> Add Noise), Effect = 4.8%, and Gaussian Blur (radius 1.2 pixels).

Step 18

Apply the command Edit –> Transform –> Perspective (Editing –> Transformation –> Perspective) for the layer on which the petal texture was created so that the texture follows the shape of the petal. When finished, merge these layers into one and do not forget to leave the name “Single Petal” behind this layer.

Step 19

So far our petal looks a little flat. To fix this, make a copy of the Single Petal layer. and desaturate it (Ctrl + Shift + U). Then go to Filter> Stylize> Emboss and add the options below. Set the blending mode of this layer to Overlay.

Step 20

Let's go back to the Single Petal layer and use different shades of purple to paint the veins at the base of the petal (see image). Merge the two layers together.

Step 21

Make copies of the Single Petal layer and arrange the petals in the shape of a flower.

Step 22

Merge all the petal layers together and rename the layer “Flower”. Use the Perspective command (Edit –> Transform –> Perspective) to distort the layer in perspective. Move the flower onto the stem.

Step 23

Using the Liquify filter (Filter> Liquify or Filter –> Liquify in the Russian version) to distort the edge of the flower to give it a more organic shape. To do this, use the Warp tool in the Liquify filter window, brush size 52 px.

Step 24

Use Dodge and Burn to add light and shadow to the layer. The picture below shows some areas that you need to pay attention to first.

Step 25

To complete the center of the flower, I used the Polygonal Marquee Tool ( magnetic lasso) to separate the top and bottom halves of the flower into two separate layers. First, move the 2 halves of the flower together so that they partially cover the empty center. Then use the Liquify Filter (Filter > Liquify or Filter –> Liquify) to move the center of the flower. Use the Burn Tool to add depth and then when you're done, merge the two layers together.

Step 26

To create the stamen, which comes from the center of the flower. To do this, create a new group called "Stamen." Inside the group, create a new layer and using a small light yellow brush, draw some lines as shown in the image. Use the Burn Tool to add shadows near the stamens. When you're done, emboss the stamens (in layer styles, parameters in the screenshot).

Step 27

To create pollen at the tips of the stamens, create a new layer called "Anther" and paint light yellow blobs.

Step 28

Add the following layer styles "Anther.

Step 29

The last thing we will add is a leaf. Start by creating a copy of the "Stem" group. Right-click the group and select "Merge Group". Place this layer below the original "Stem" group. Go to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal, then Scale and deform this layer. We received a cutting of a future leaf.

Step 30

Then create a new group called "Leaf". On a new layer create an inverted heart shape and fill it with green. Make a copy of this layer and use Levels (hotkey Ctrl + L) to lighten the copy of the leaf layer.

Step 31

Use the Eraser Tool (Eraser, hotkey E) on a copy of the leaf layer to create lines reminiscent of leaf veins. Open Layer Styles and add an Emboss to this layer.

Step 32

Merge both leaf layers together and rotate and scale the leaf (Ctrl + T), name the layer "Merged Leaf".

Step 33

Using the Liquify filter (Filter > Liquify) to process the edges of the leaf, just like we did with the flower petals.

Step 34

Use the Dodge and Burn tools to add light and shadows to the leaf.

Step 35

Copy part of the leaf and paste it onto a new layer below the "Merged Leaf" layer. Use this piece of leaf to simulate the curled bottom of the leaf. If necessary, use the Eraser Tool (E key) to trim the shapes.

Step 36

To add some shine to the leaves, create a new layer with a clipping mask on the "Merged Leaf" layer and fill it with white. Double-click on this layer to open the layer styles and set the mode to Overlay, and also move the bottom scale sliders to the center.

Step 37

To finish the leaf, use the Burn Tool to add additional shadows to the leaf.

Step 38

To complete the look, you can add shadows and reflections from the flower pot. To create the shadow, use the Ellipse Tool to make a black ellipse under the base of the pot, then use the Gaussian Blur filter to blur it. Adjust the opacity of the shadow. To reflect, simply merge a copy of the pot into one layer and flip it vertically. Move this layer and reduce its opacity to create the illusion of a reflection.

In this lesson we will look at how to draw indoor flower in a pot using Photoshop.

Finishing the petal, let's add some more shadows using Burn Tool(Dimmer Tool/O Key): ↓

Step 39

Finally, let’s add the shadow and reflection of the pot. To add a shadow, on a new layer create a black ellipse under the pot and use a combination of filters Filter > Blur > Motion blur(Filter > Blur > Motion Blur) and Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur(Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur) to blur the ellipse. You can also reduce Opacity(Opacity) of the shadow layer.

To create a reflection, duplicate the group " Pot” and merge all the layers into one in the duplicated group. Flip Layer vertically(Flip vertical), place the reflection under the pot as shown in the image and make it smaller Opacity(Opacity) of this layer.

That's all.

The lesson was prepared for you by the website team

We continue the series of articles “drawing indoor flowers” or “drawing tropical plants", as you like. I, of course, like tropical plants in nature - let them grow in the wild in their own climate. But they were not asked, they were domesticated and now they are considered indoors. Today we are drawing a ficus. There are many types and varieties of them. My idol is rubber-bearing ficus - it is so big! Large leathery leaves, a strong trunk - a tree!

Ficus drawing - step by step lesson 1

It is clear that we will learn to draw a ficus with the goal of, in principle, mastering the approach to depicting a tree with foliage. Let's start with a pencil sketch:

The plant is not yet very large - the trunk is relatively thin and has few branches. But there are already a lot of leaves - they are large, oval and located at different angles. Yes, yes, children, unless specifically warned, will simply draw ovals evenly hung on the branches, but we understand that in reality you cannot arrange leaves in a line. But there is still a certain pattern - the leaves are all directed outward from the trunk:

The width of the oval depends on the angle sheet plate turned towards the viewer:

Well, this is how the ficus drawing turned out. Let's color the leaves - they are shiny, dark green, the midrib is light and clearly stands out:

Let’s imagine that the ficus grows in its own India and we won’t paint on the pot or tub. And I’ll tell you: it’s not a good idea to teach children to draw all the flowers in a row in pots or vases - they will then not be able to adapt and depict “free” plants.

And one more lesson - shorter.

Sketch:

This ficus is more densely leafed, the trunk and branches are practically invisible and the leaves are arranged more interestingly, and, by the way, pay attention - the younger leaves are smaller than those that have already fully developed.

Let's color the picture with ficus. Let’s mark the highlights on the glossy leaves; this will make it possible to fragment the picture so that the crown does not appear as a dark green monolith.
