This process stimulates metabolism, breaks down and removes fats. It is necessary to start mixed baths with small dosages of turpentine.

Since turpentine baths are available, consult your doctor before starting the procedure. Based on your health condition, the doctor will select the best option mixing turpentine emulsions.

Since turpentine can cause an allergic reaction, it is necessary to conduct a small test before the first procedure. Dilute a little turpentine in a small bath and hold your hand in the solution for 15 minutes. If your skin becomes red or burns and itches, it means you are allergic to turpentine.

Turpentine baths at home

After consulting a specialist and receiving recommendations on the need to take a course of turpentine baths, it is possible to use this health procedure at home. You just need to follow some rules for the turpentine bath procedure to achieve a positive effect. First of all, it is recommended to take turpentine baths at least two hours after meals. The water temperature should be around 36 - 37 degrees. You must first dilute the recommended amount of turpentine emulsion in one liter of water and add it to the bath. When using a mixed turpentine bath, it is recommended to take white and yellow emulsions in equal parts. For the first procedures, you can take a smaller amount of the active substance in order to monitor possible adverse reactions. Before taking a prepared bath, you should treat very sensitive areas of the body with a rich cream. You can use Vaseline. The first procedure should not be carried out longer than 5 minutes, then 1 minute can be added every day. As a result, you can increase the total time of taking a turpentine bath to 15 minutes. The water temperature must be maintained by adding hot water. The temperature can be monitored using a water thermometer. When taking a bath with a yellow turpentine mixture, the water temperature, in case of normal tolerance, can be increased to 39 degrees. In the process of taking this health procedure, it is imperative to monitor your well-being. If you experience the slightest discomfort or pain, you must stop taking a bath and consult a specialist. Most likely, the concentration of active substances should be reduced, or the degree of water heating should be reduced. After taking a turpentine bath, it is not recommended to dry your body; you should wrap yourself in a towel and lie down, covering yourself. It is more convenient to carry out this healing procedure in the evening. It is believed that if after taking a bath you feel a slight perspiration, it means that the procedure was carried out correctly. In most cases, a course of turpentine baths consists of 10-12 procedures; they can be carried out every day or every 1-2 days. The frequency of procedures depends on the severity of the disease.

Turpentine (turpentine oil) is a natural product plant origin(not to be confused with technical solvent). It has long been used for health purposes, representing an essential oil that is obtained from pine resin (resin). In addition, turpentine baths for weight loss are very popular - effective remedy for figure correction. They are effective prevention of diseases of the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous systems, skin diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and diabetes.

Gum turpentine is a colorless or yellowish liquid with a characteristic pine odor. In ancient times, this substance was considered practically a panacea for all diseases, as evidenced by many manuscripts. Due to the high content of alpha-pinenes, gum turpentine has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. Penetrating through the epidermis, it causes irritation of nerve endings and, as a result, dilation of blood vessels and improvement of blood circulation.

In 1904, doctor Alexander Zalmanov proposed the use of turpentine in hydrotherapy practice. Their beneficial effects on the body have been confirmed by many experts. Turpentine baths according to Zalmanov are intended for a comprehensive preventive effect on the body. Their action is to stimulate the body's defense mechanisms at the level of capillary blood flow. Zalmanov's turpentine baths normalize metabolic processes, speed up metabolism, lower cholesterol levels in the blood and stimulate the removal of waste and toxins from the body. As a result, blood supply to problem areas improves (the manifestations of cellulite are eliminated) and body weight is reduced.

Gum turpentine is sold in the form of white and yellow emulsions under the name Skipofit. According to this principle, turpentine baths are divided into white (a white emulsion containing 45% gum turpentine is used), yellow (50% turpentine) and mixed (white + yellow emulsion).

  1. Whites normalize blood pressure, improve metabolism, and increase the flow of oxygen to cells and tissues. They are warm in temperature – the solution temperature usually reaches 39°C. Suitable for low blood pressure.
  2. Yellow ones, based on oleic acid in combination with castor oil, restore metabolism, dilate blood vessels and stimulate the elimination of toxins and toxic substances along with sweat. In addition, yellow turpentine effectively breaks down salt deposits in joints and pathological deposits on the walls of blood vessels. The yellow bath is hot - the solution temperature reaches 40.5-45°C. Suitable for high blood pressure.
  3. Mixed baths are the most effective for weight loss. They combine the effects of white and yellow. Their temperature reaches 38-42°C.

Turpentine baths have many contraindications. Therefore, before starting these procedures, be sure to consult your doctor.

To prepare a turpentine bath, in addition to the emulsion (use it strictly according to the instructions), you will need a water thermometer and a watch. The water temperature should be 37°C - this is required condition. The bath should be filled halfway, since when the body is immersed, the water level rises significantly. In addition, the procedure involves gradually adding hot water.

Pour the required amount of turpentine solution from the bottle into an enamel container, add the recommended amount of hot water and mix thoroughly. Then pour the mixture into the water, stirring thoroughly with your hand to ensure even distribution. The thermometer must be in the water. Hot water can be added no earlier than three minutes after the start of the procedure. Rate of change temperature regime needs to be constantly monitored. The duration of the procedure should be 10-20 minutes (carefully monitor the time and how you feel!). When finished, be careful: the walls of the bathtub from the turpentine become slippery, which increases the risk of injury. You should not rinse with clean water.

Put on a terry robe and lie down in a warm bed.

  • Before use, test the turpentine solution on a small area of skin (for example, your hands). This is important for determining an allergic reaction.
  • To lose weight, take turpentine baths twice a week for a month, then take a break of 2-3 weeks.
  • In order to get rid of extra pounds, it is necessary to combine turpentine baths with proper nutrition and physical activity. It is an integrated approach that is the key to losing weight.
  • To enhance the effect (in the absence of contraindications), it is recommended to do anti-cellulite wraps - no more than three times a week.
  • It is recommended to stop drinking alcohol and smoking, otherwise the effect of turpentine baths will be minimal.
  • Try to get enough sleep (get at least seven hours of sleep a day) and spend more time in the fresh air.

The 12-day course for weight loss, cellulite removal and rejuvenation includes 9 baths and 2 wraps. Must be performed strictly in the specified sequence. You should eat food no less than an hour before and no earlier than an hour after taking a bath. If necessary, after a 3-day break the course can be repeated.

Elena Korneeva, 36 years old, Murmansk. Weight change: from 81 kg to 76 kg

I have been taking Zalman baths for six months. I perform this procedure once a week at home. During this time, I lost 5 kg without much effort. Of course, I don’t overeat, I don’t overeat sweets and starchy foods, I try to walk a lot. I do everything strictly according to the instructions. The effect makes me happy: the skin has become elastic and has acquired a healthy color. And in general, my health has improved, I have more energy, my sleep has improved, the feedback is positive.

Yulia Malinovskaya, 27 years old, Yekaterinburg. Weight change: from 66 kg to 63 kg

I managed to lose 3 kg in a month. I read the reviews and decided to take mixed baths with Skipofit three times a week. At the same time, I try to eat right and not drink alcohol. I like this method of losing weight - I feel comfortable, I don’t starve, and the weight comes off. In addition, I noticed a decrease in the orange peel on my thighs - my eternal problem. I recommend turpentine baths to everyone who has no contraindications. But it is important to get rid of bad habits, otherwise their effectiveness is significantly reduced.

Evgenia Malyarchuk, 30 years old, Moscow. Weight change: from 58 kg to 53 kg

In three weeks I lost 5 kg! I wanted to adjust my figure before going on vacation so that I could feel confident in an open swimsuit. And I succeeded! Once every two days I took turpentine baths at home, and took 2 teaspoons of castor oil daily before breakfast. At this time I ate mainly proteins (vegetables, fish, cottage cheese) and fresh vegetables, drank a lot of green tea. Although I always eat healthy, during this period I excluded any “errors” in the form of ice cream or chocolates. My body has become slimmer, my waist has become thinner, and my hips have become more toned than ever! But still, this is a load on the body, primarily on the heart. Therefore, I recommend everyone not to chase quick results - take care of your health.

Olga Korenkovskaya, cardiologist, Moscow.

Turpentine baths have not been used in medicine for a long time. However, many continue to practice this method at home. Gum turpentine is a natural ingredient. It is beneficial for the respiratory system and skin in the same way as natural essential oils. But it should be used very carefully. If you decide to do this procedure at home, be sure to consult your doctor. After all, this is a serious load on the cardiovascular system. And in the fight against excess weight, do not rely only on turpentine. You will lose a certain amount of fluid, which will come out through sweat, but to lose weight, you will have to give up bad habits, start eating right, monitor your caloric intake and start exercising. Turpentine baths are just an aid.

The fight against extra pounds is a pressing problem for many, which explains the existence of a huge number of all kinds of diets and weight loss products. Modern medicine has recently begun to use turpentine to treat obesity. This substance is an excellent solvent for varnishes and paints; turpentine emulsion is indispensable in cosmetology, pharmacology, and perfumery. Many visitors to spa salons know about the “turpentine bath” service, and some have even tried its effects at home.

Turpentine baths for weight loss were presented to the world by the Russian doctor Abram Zalmanov. Therefore, this procedure is often called “Zalmanov turpentine baths.” The doctor studied the effect of the drug on the human body and recommended that women who want to look younger take regular baths with a turpentine solution.

Treatment according to Zalmanov involves the use of two types of emulsions: white and yellow. Turpentine baths allow you to restore blood flow in the body, healing even organs with pathology. The doctor's research confirmed that thanks to the procedures, diseases that were previously considered incurable were cured. Numerous positive reviews of Zalmanov’s turpentine baths still confirm their effectiveness.

The scientist proved that medicinal baths with turpentine they open clogged capillaries, restoring blood circulation where it was disrupted. Thanks to the procedures, toxins are removed from the skin and blood vessels, and life is restored to dead cells. By contacting skin tissue, the emulsion stimulates the expansion of capillaries and an increase in their number. This ensures the prevention of stasis and vascular thrombosis. The effectiveness of Zalmanov’s turpentine baths is explained by their active effects on the body’s defense mechanisms and metabolism in the vascular system.

Technical turpentine is a solvent used in the paint and varnish industry. The emulsion is prepared industrial method, pouring gasoline into pieces of coniferous trees and cleaning the resulting product from impurities. Gum turpentine is obtained through heat treatment resins (the substance is called resin resin) of coniferous trees, which is manually collected from cuts in the bark.

Only gum emulsion can be used as a turpentine solution for baths. The danger of using technical means is that if it comes into contact with the skin, it often leads to chemical burns and causes eczema or dermatitis. Technical turpentine vapors are dangerous for the central nervous system and respiratory system.

Turpentine baths have a chemical and thermal effect on the skin. The skin contains many sebaceous and sweat glands, nerve endings, and blood vessels. Its purpose is to protect the body from external factors and transmit information to the body from outside. Hot baths, even without turpentine, expand the pores and make the blood move faster, carrying beneficial substances through the vessels.

Turpentine has good throughput and irritates nerve endings. The essential oils contained in the emulsion activate biochemical processes, enhancing the synthesis of carbon dioxide and histamine. The second helps to improve blood flow, and carbon dioxide has a positive effect on the respiratory center, normalizing lung ventilation and, as a result, the blood is enriched with oxygen. Thanks to the improvement of blood supply and metabolic processes, the organs receive a sufficient amount of nutrients, waste, toxins, and carbon dioxide are removed from the body.

Turpentine baths help you lose extra pounds. This is explained by the content of the pharmaceutical emulsion. The chemical composition of turpentine includes a set of carbons that have a number of useful properties:

  1. Effectively dissolves accumulated fats, removing them from the body along with other breakdown products.
  2. It has a gentle effect on the skin, cleanses pores from dirt, and has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects.
  3. Prevents the appearance of stretch marks while losing weight.
  4. Cleans capillaries from toxins that impede normal blood circulation. Blockage of blood vessels is the main cause of excess weight.
  5. Like other essential oils, turpentine emulsion has an excellent effect on a person’s emotional background and has a calming effect.
  6. Helps get rid of cellulite by activating metabolism.

To the question: how to quickly lose weight, it is worth answering that with the help of turpentine baths you will not be able to quickly lose extra pounds. However, thanks to these therapeutic procedures, weight loss is accompanied by a general improvement of the body, and the lost weight will not return after completing the course. However, before starting baths, it is better to consult a specialist, because these procedures have a number of contraindications.

Many doctors are convinced of the effectiveness and benefits of turpentine baths. Dr. Mazur, well-known in the field of natural therapy, considers gum emulsion a healing elixir that helps against diseases and can harm the body. The main thing is to carry out the procedures correctly.

Zarubina S.O., dermatologist:“Some patients take turpentine baths, considering them beneficial for the skin. Judging by the reviews, the emulsion normalizes blood pressure, reduces weight, improves well-being, and normalizes sleep. I advise you to carefully listen to how you are feeling during the procedures and follow all recommended rules.”

Talmykova R.I., cosmetologist:“I recommend that clients lose weight with turpentine baths. The bonus of the procedure is skin healing and rejuvenation. Some women note that turpentine baths have a relaxing effect, helping them fall asleep easier. If there are no contraindications, you can purchase the emulsion at a pharmacy without a prescription and carry out healing procedures at home - it's easy."

Diet and an active lifestyle are the healthiest and most effective way to improve your body. But why do some people manage to get in shape without... special labor in 3-6 months, while others, following a strict diet and exposing themselves to ultra-intense physical activity, spend years reaching their goal?

The reason for such injustice is often poor microcirculation of biological fluids, as a result of which the supply of cells with oxygen and nutrients, it becomes difficult to remove carbon dioxide and metabolic products, which leads to slagging, stagnation, slowing down biochemical reactions and metabolism in general.

Simply put, impaired microcirculation minimizes the effect of losing weight even with the most careful work on yourself. Therefore, in order for the body to easily respond to your actions aimed at weight loss, you first need to establish capillary blood circulation.

Turpentine baths are also beneficial for women

One of the best non-drug ways to restore the structure and function of capillaries and microvessels, improve lymphatic drainage and cleanse the body at the cellular level, speed up metabolism, and, therefore, achieve good results for weight loss, turpentine baths for weight loss according to the method of Dr. A.S. are recognized. Zalmanova. This hydrotherapeutic procedure is carried out in many sanatoriums and health resorts in European countries for the treatment and prevention of the following diseases and conditions:

  • chronic heart failure, hypertension, circulatory disorders;
  • gastritis and peptic ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreatitis, cholecystitis, hepatitis;
  • bronchitis, tracheitis, pneumonia;
  • neuralgia, neuritis, neurasthenia, insomnia, headaches;
  • obesity and lipodystrophy (cellulite);
  • venous insufficiency;
  • cystitis, pyelonephritis, male diseases (prostate inflammation, impotence);
  • female inflammatory diseases, endometriosis, menopause;
  • rheumatism, spinal osteochondrosis, osteoporosis, arthritis, polyarthritis, muscle atrophy;
  • asthenia, decreased performance.

Turpentine baths (capillary therapy)

In cosmetology, turpentine baths for weight loss are used as an anti-cellulite, as well as a rejuvenating and skin-tightening procedure.

The basic component of Zalmanov’s baths is highly purified gum turpentine, obtained from the resinous secretions of coniferous trees (spruce, pine, larch, cedar). Resin turpentine is a complex mixture of terpene hydrocarbons (pienes, limonene, cymene) and their derivatives (camphor, menthol, borneol), insoluble in water, but soluble in alcohol and well dissolving fats, oils and resins. Gum turpentine is, in fact, a highly volatile essential turpentine oil.

There are three types of turpentine baths for weight loss, which differ from each other in the nature of their physiological effects: white emulsion (bath No. 1), yellow solution (bath No. 2) and mixed baths (a mixture of bath No. 1 and bath No. 2 in therapeutically sound proportions).

White turpentine bath for weight loss

Composition: turpentine – 45%, water – 50%, salicylic acid, olive oil, plant extracts, soap-forming components.

The therapeutic effect of white baths is based on the irritating effect that turpentine has in combination with salicylic acid, which results in an increase in the volume and permeability of the alveoli and capillaries. In addition, salicylic acid and soap-forming components soften the epidermis, which facilitates the penetration of bioactive substances into the deeper layers of the skin. As a result, the trophism of tissues and organs improves, the removal of waste and toxins, metabolism accelerates, congestion is eliminated, and microcirculation of biological fluids is restored.

White turpentine baths for weight loss increase blood pressure, therefore they are intended for people with blood pressure not exceeding 140/80 mm. Hg Art.

Characteristics of sensations: relaxation of muscles and ligaments, increased depth of breathing, increased heart rate (you must monitor your pulse, which should not exceed 150 beats/min), tingling and burning of the skin (the sensation should subside within 45-60 minutes)

“...The point is to lose weight without denying yourself food. You lose excess weight quickly enough and as a result you get a maximally toned stomach and buttocks, as well as a beautiful waist. The secret of the drug lies in its incredible composition..."

With a high body mass index, weight loss occurs even faster - up to 4 kg per week. Without damaging their bodies with shock diets, many TV stars have already acquired the figure of their dreams!

Ingredients: turpentine – 50%, castor oil – 20%, oleic acid – 15%, water – 13-14%, sodium hydroxide.

Yellow turpentine baths for weight loss have a hyperthermic effect on the body, as a result of which skin pores open, blood capillaries dilate, and redox processes accelerate. Oleic acid and sodium hydroxide neutralize free radicals and remove them through sweating. The yellow solution helps break down subcutaneous fat and dissolve salts and pathological deposits in joints and on vascular walls. In addition, yellow turpentine baths have an analgesic effect and promote rapid adaptation of muscles and joints to intense physical activity.

Yellow turpentine baths for weight loss have a hypotonic effect and are intended for people with high blood pressure (150/90 mmHg and above).

Characteristics of sensations: increase in body temperature by 0.5-20C (within an hour the temperature should return to normal), profuse sweating, increased breathing, and a slight burning and tingling of the skin may occur directly while taking a bath.

Yellow turpentine emulsion is a solution in which turpentine is mixed with castor oil and oleic acid

Mixed turpentine bath for weight loss

The physiological effect of mixed turpentine baths is due to the combination of the effects provided by bath No. 1 and bath No. 2. An additional advantage is the active supply of amino acids and histamine through dilated capillaries - a vital hormone-mediator, including one that regulates the activity of digestive enzymes.

Procedures using mixed baths should be carried out only after consultation with a doctor, who, based on an individual examination, will calculate the proportions and prescribe a hydrotherapy regimen. It is possible to alternately take two types of turpentine baths, the method of alternation of which is also determined in accordance with medical indications.

To use turpentine baths for weight loss, it is important to purchase certified products, since the mixtures are aggressive substances and, if of low quality, can be harmful to health.

The yellow solution should be homogeneous and appearance resemble vegetable oil.

The white emulsion at rest is 2-3 layers of liquid (the top layer is opaque white, the bottom is transparent yellow), which, when mixed or shaken, gives a uniform white color.

Instructions for using Zalmanov baths

  • Fill the bath with water in such a volume that when immersed, it covers the body up to the heart area. The water temperature should be 0.5 C lower than the temperature regime presented in the table below.
  • The bottle with the white emulsion must be shaken (the yellow solution is homogeneous and does not require stirring), measure out the exact amount of liquid (dosages of gum concentrate are given below) and pour into an enamel container with a volume of 3-5 liters, then add hot water from the tap and mix.
  • Pour the solution from the container into the bath and mix thoroughly.

Every 3-5 minutes, use a ladle to carefully add hot water to the bath to maintain a constant temperature or increase it according to the table.
  • After finishing the procedure, carefully exit the bath (the walls and bottom of the bath become very slippery due to the oiliness of the bioactive liquid), wrap yourself in a sheet or put on a terry robe and lie under the blanket for 1-1.5 hours (if the procedure is not performed before bedtime). During the rest period, it is recommended to drink a cup of herbal or green tea. Rest is a mandatory stage of the procedure, which not only increases the effectiveness of turpentine baths for weight loss, but also promotes painless recovery of the body.

The values in the table are average values. A more precise regimen for taking oleoresin baths should be obtained from a doctor or adhere to the recommendations set out in the instructions that come with the specific mixture.

Alexandra, 39 years old:

While relaxing at the sanatorium, I found out that you can take turpentine baths for weight loss, and the reviews about them were a little surprising. It turned out that many women specifically come here not so much for treatment, but specifically for weight loss procedures. It’s easy to do them even at home, but it will be much safer if specialists supervise the process.

The method has major contraindications. Such baths cannot be used for the following diseases - tuberculosis, hypertension, ischemia, varicose veins, epilepsy, gynecological problems, oncology. Skin irritations, pregnancy and periods of exacerbation of a chronic disease are also prohibited.

I had problems with blood pressure, and it turned out that turpentine baths of a certain color can normalize it well. Yellow ones raise, white ones increase, and at normal pressure you can mix special emulsions or alternate the color of the baths by day.

At first, my treatments were short, only 5 minutes at a temperature of 35°C, in the last session the procedure lasted 15 minutes at a temperature of 38°C. Upon completion, all patients were offered warm gowns, large quantities of diaphoretic tea and mandatory rest.

During the 21 days of my spa treatment, I lost 7.5 kg. During this time, I was not nervous at all, I ate sensibly, and walked a lot. It is possible that such a wonderful result was achieved thanks to an integrated approach, but I have seen results in other women who were not so diligent about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Lyudmila, 29 years old:

In one magazine, I came across reviews about turpentine baths that are useful for weight loss. For some reason I thought that only our family knew such a secret to a slim figure, but it turned out that even before my grandmother-great-grandmother it was known how to use pine gum turpentine for healing.

Now I will begin to use turpentine baths even more often for both rejuvenation and weight loss. Previously, I only made them when visiting relatives in the village, but now I know that special turpentine emulsions can be purchased in pharmacies. It’s great that you can improve your health at home using traditional methods in an ordinary city apartment.

The girls tell interesting stories, they even want to start losing weight as quickly as possible, but is it necessary to do this? The huge list of contraindications makes you think, because we don’t always even know all our diseases. Is it worth losing weight with the help of a balanced diet and basic physical activity?

What are turpentine baths and how do they work for weight loss?

Turpentine is obtained from natural resin coniferous plants. Its basis is turpentine oil, which has numerous healing properties.

Doctor A. S. Zalmanov found a way to dissolve turpentine in water, which made it possible to use it in capillary therapy to eliminate a number of diseases.

Due to its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and analgesic properties, turpentine is widely used in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, nervous and skin pathologies.

Zalmanov baths are prepared from the purest product, enriched with a large number of useful substances. It is obtained by distilling fresh resin, which is treated with hot steam.

The results of the procedures are: weight loss, skin rejuvenation, increased tone and elasticity. All these indicators can be easily achieved by using turpentine baths according to Zalmanov at home.

Taking baths dilates blood vessels, improves blood circulation and accelerates metabolic processes. Under the influence of procedures, the body is cleansed of harmful substances, toxins and waste, which leads to a rejuvenating effect.

When combined with exercise and diet, weight loss occurs faster.

Result of use medicinal composition is to relieve pain, restore normal functioning of the kidneys and liver, and increase performance.
  2. Yellow. In addition to turpentine oil, the emulsion contains oleic acid, caustic soda, castor oil and herbal extracts. The composition has a stimulating effect on sweating, during which sodium chlorine and urea are removed from the body. The use of a yellow emulsion solution helps improve the functioning of capillaries, eliminate congestion, increase body tone and gently lower blood pressure.

In accordance with Zalmanov’s method, it is preferable to prepare turpentine baths for eliminating excess weight from a mixed emulsion solution. It contains components of both types in varying proportions and includes medicinal properties yellow and white emulsions.

An excellent health booster

I bought myself Skipar bath emulsion. I really enjoyed taking baths with him. The set also includes a thermometer for measuring water temperature and a measuring cup. Plus detailed instructions by application. It describes in detail how and when to take baths, at what temperature, etc. The smell is pleasant pine, does not burn strongly. After the bath there is a pleasant, relaxed feeling. I usually lie under the blanket for another half hour to enhance the effect. I also noticed that my skin became more elastic. There is less cellulite.

I lost quite a bit of weight, but my health improved

You won’t be able to lose much weight with turpentine baths, but your overall tone and health will clearly improve. For the first few procedures, I strictly regulated the water temperature and the time I spent in the bathroom. It is also very important not to overdo the dosage of turpentine; the first time I added only 20 ml, and then constantly increased it by 10 ml, and so on until I reached the maximum - 120 ml - no more. I took such baths every other day for 2 months. I did this in the evenings, after the procedure I lay for more than an hour, wrapped in a terry towel and a blanket. While I was lying there, I felt a slight pleasant tingling all over my body the entire time.
Turpentine baths increased my immunity to colds, improved the quality of my skin (it became smooth and soft, and acne completely disappeared), cured insomnia and contributed to a tiny amount of weight loss - a couple of kilograms. In this sense, I was somewhat disappointed, because the main purpose of taking these baths was precisely to lose weight.
The only thing I didn’t like was preparing the bath itself: dilute the turpentine correctly, constantly monitor the water temperature and time. But the result is positive - and this is the main thing.

Not the safest procedure, but can be used for weight loss

I used turpentine baths every other day and only in the evenings. In total there were 20 not very pleasant procedures, each lasting 15 minutes. Although there seems to be a positive result, there were also negative aspects. For example, I never managed to relax while taking such baths with emulsion white. Perhaps I simply used too hot water (about 40 degrees), but I waited for the end of each procedure with obvious impatience. But after them, at first some irritation appeared in the form of pink spots on the skin. So, if you are prone to allergies, then it is better not to use them.
Although these baths also have plenty of noticeable advantages. So, after them I felt an incredible surge of strength, and periodic weakness and dizziness were gone forever. But the main thing is that I really lost weight and lost excess weight (10 kilograms) in 1 course. And the skin became somewhat smoother and even noticeably tightened. And I certainly didn’t expect this effect, so it came as a very pleasant surprise for me.

Didn't help me lose weight

In my case, baths with turpentine caused a strong skin reaction, so I do not recommend such procedures without first consulting a doctor. They are prescribed for pain in the joints, for recovery from acute respiratory viral infections, overweight etc.
The procedure can be carried out in special health institutions or independently at home. You need to add 20 ml of product to the bath. You should first read the recommendations on the packaging, as the dosage may vary. I smeared all the “interesting” places with Vaseline.
The 1st and 2nd procedures lasted about 20 minutes. The body tingled a little, but it did not bring significant discomfort. After the 3rd, spots appeared on the body. The 4th procedure greatly worsened the condition. After that I realized that I have an individual intolerance. I think it’s worth first weighing all the pros and possible cons. I was left with a negative impression.

They need to be done in a sanatorium, but the effect is questionable

Firstly, you need to prepare for turpentine baths. Buy everything you need, including gum turpentine and a thermometer. Then keep a diary, note the time, have a table at hand. Don't forget to cover all mucous membranes with a thicker layer of Vaseline.
When I climbed into the Zalman bath for the first time, my mucous membranes burned. I won’t say anything about the skin - it was a little warm and that’s all. I did a few baths with all my might. After 2 weeks I got on the scales, but there was no change. The only thing is that the skin seems to have become smooth and elastic. It all ended unexpectedly: either I did something wrong, I’m still not a specialist, but I started developing an allergy.
